 Paris Cafe XXIII
Working in a series is a wonderful and quick way to learn how to paint a certain theme. It also helps us artists explore the power of our imagination. Not too long ago, I painted several different paintings from one photo and blogged about the interesting experience (Click here to read). Paris Café is a series that I don't seem to get tired of painting over and over. This and the other two paintings, Paris Cafe XII and Paris Cafe XIV, are like "a series in a series" as they all depict the same street in the Montmartre area of Paris. While they are slightly different in terms of color choices and format, I tried to make sure they would transmit the mood of the day when I was there. Paris Café XXIII Click here for a larger image.
