We spotted a lone snowy egret as soon as we got down to a tidepool from the Cabrillo National Monument in Point Loma. The food must have been abundant as he often ducked his bill into the shallow water.
This is located at the tip of the Point Loma peninsula that separates the San Diego Bay and the Pacific Ocean. Very rocky and slippery especially during a low tide, it is home to many interesting creatures.
