I don't know how many Mexican eateries exist in San Diego. I think it is safe to say, no matter where we are, we find one easily near us. Of course, not every place serves authentic Mexican food, but there is quite a few that won't disappoint the palate of those looking for the real thing.
This one, modest-looking and buried in a residential neighborhood near Old Town, gets rave reviews not just for the good taste but also because their food is cheap. Decorated in red, white and green, this tiny eatery is a little gem to paint, too.
