For a historic vineyard landscape to paint in France, I will choose Saint-Emilion, the oldest wine growing area in the Bordeaux region. I guess I can't be too wrong when the village is celebrating the 10th anniversary of being recognized as the World Heritage Site by UNESCO. It is fun to get lost in the medieval village as wine-tasting places are everywhere. Painting while sipping wine will be an opportunity hard to pass up. The only thing to be careful about is not to wash a paintbrush in a wine glass by mistake.
