San Diego 100 (#6) - Downtown, California Landscape Painting

Downtown (SD100-6)

What is the most important thing in a painting?  An answer must vary from an artist to an artist.  It can be colors or a design or a content.

I find a story of people in a particular scene the most interesting, and naturally it becomes the emotional focal point as I paint it.

This painting shows a late Sunday afternoon in downtown San Diego under its ever-changing skyline -- a slice of urban life without usual weekday hustle and bustle.
