About This Painting:
Some streets in the world are so well-known that the name itself has become an icon of something many people can associate with: Wall Street, Abbey Road, La Rambla, Champs-Elysées, Appian Way... just to name a few. This alley in Rome is definitely not one of those streets, as far as I know. In fact, I could have easily walked past without looking if a glaring reflection on the car hadn't blinded me. I turned to my right, and there I saw this. The whole atmosphere was so arresting I knew I had to paint it.
