Napoli, Italy IV
A look into one of the narrow alleys in the heart of the Spaccanapoli neighborhood reveals nothing but mystery. This is a historic neighborhood in Naples where dozens of small streets like this are dark even in the daytime. I see a lot of laundry hung by clotheslines above the streets, but is it the only reason the sunlight is blocked here, I wonder? Naples gives me a kind of culture shock, which is definitely different from what I feel in other places in Italy. The mystery I think I saw in this street may hold a key to understand what it really is. (detail) Napoli, Italy IV Media: Original watercolor on paper Image Size: 18.5 x 7 in. Mat Size: 26 x 13 in.
