More Paintings of Assisi, Italy, Italian Landscape Painting

Assisi, Italy III

Here are more paintings of the medieval town of Assisi, Italy.

Assisi III shows a closer look of the Basilica di San Francesco.  Assisi IV is another panoramic view of the town and its surrounding landscapes.

The basilica, a burial place of St. Francis as everyone knows, looks almost white, but its color changes depending on the weather.  It seems to absorb the colors of its environment.  It reflects the mood of a particular day and time.  It may also mirror the emotion of each one of us who visits this sacred place.

I hope to continue paitning Assisi in a series.  Click to view Assisi I and Assisi II

Hi Keiko, I comment this one, but all your Assis series is wonderful, I like that blurred foreground on these. Hope some day somewhere to see you in action painting watercolor.
