San Diego Downtown II

As many of you know, I started a new series of San Diego landscapes earlier this year (For more details, please read San Diego 100).  It was a bit ambitious of me to plan making one daily painting for this series for 100 consecutive days.  Well, I haven't been able to keep that promise because I needed a break sometimes.  Also, other things come up, such as commissions and exhibitions, that need equal attention.  So it is taking much longer to complete this series, but I am thoroughly enjoying it.

I posted my #75 of the series (Del Mar Racetrack) yesterday.  I have to admit it hasn't been always a smooth ride.  As a local resident, I would think it'd be easy to connect to a familiar sight, but sometimes I just struggled to get it right in my painting.  On the other hand, I got so inspired that I just kept painting different views of the same spot.  Downtown San Diego is one of such locations.  In fact, I already have five downtown cityscapes in this series.

Behind each painting in my San Diego 100 series, there may be 2 or more that I have done but didn't include in it.  Today I am posting more downtown paintings.  Enjoy!
