I am now in Kyoto, Japan, visiting my family and relatives.  It's nice to be back home after almost a year of being away.  Actually, it feels just like yesterday when I was here last maybe because things around here are still looking the same.

Pictured here is Yasaka Shrine near the Gion district in Kyoto.  Every summer in July, it hosts the world famous Gion Festival which, along with many more sights and events, attracts millions of visitors to Kyoto from all over the world.  I am hoping to post more paintings of Kyoto in the following days.
