 Perugia, Italy V
Years ago I first heard of Perugia when a Japanese friend of mine went there to study Italian at the University for Foreigners. She would send me a picture postcard from time to time, telling me about her new friends, neighbors and life in Italy. I had a chance to visit this charming Umbrian town long after she had lived there, but it didn't quite feel like the first time because of all I had heard. By the way, I have been a fan of Baci just as long as I have known Perugia. Baci (meaning kisses in Italian) is a name of popular chocolate with hazelnut filling made by Perugina. Those delicious morsels in signature silver and blue wrapping are irresistible. A birthplace of Baci, Perugia is no doubt a chocolate capital of Europe.
