San Diego is home to many wineries, including this one located in
San Pasqual Valley. There's no surprise here considering the average temperature is almost always somewhere between 58 and 73 degrees. And there is plenty of sun all year round, especially in inland areas.
When I was there, some men were hard at work preparing the soil. Some were checking the wires and posts so grape vines would grow nicely.
This is a view from the barrel room, looking towards vineyards that spread up and down the surrounding hills. One can only imagine what marvelous wine will be made from the grapes after a very warm, dry summer in a sun-drenched vineyard like this.
