Paris Café XXIV (Le Dome)
Long before there was email, twitter or facebook, intellectuals would meet at a café for conversations. In Paris, Le Dome was such a gathering place for artists and writers. Picasso, Modigliani, Foujita, Hemingway and Miller were among the regulars.
Times are different now and we heavily rely on modern-day technological tools to talk to each other. It seems that internet forums, blogs and all kinds of social networking services are going to replace an old-fashioned way of meeting friends and colleagues. Personally, I would very much enjoy going to a café if only I could have 26 hours in a day...
